Efficient structures
As an institution of the German Technical and Scientific Association of Gas and Water (DVGW), TZW is dedicated to the technical and scientific issues of the entire water cycle with a special focus on drinking water. Its core tasks are practice-oriented research and development work, the results of which are directly applied or used to prepare and implement future topics and the DVGW rules and regulations. In addition, TZW is also the point of contact for authorities, ministries and associations on all issues relating to water quality, drinking water quality and water technology. It acts as a link between DVGW, universities (basic research) and water supply companies.
In order to be able to carry out these tasks with the highest quality and best efficiency, TZW has given itself a lean organisational structure with six departments as of 1 January 2021. Each department is subdivided into two to three sections.
The CEO directs TZW and is supported by a commercial and a technical deputy. Six technical departments and their sections provide the organisational framework.
The board of trustees advises TZW in its technical and scientific responsibilities.
On the organisation chart you will find the complete structure of TZW.
