The Global Water Research Coalition (GWRC) has published its summary of activities in 2023 and 2024. This overview provides valuable insights into the current global trends, problems and solutions that are of paramount importance for a sustainable water supply.
‘The topics for a resilient water supply and wastewater management are very complex, but through global collaboration and innovative research, we can develop effective solutions that ensure both access to clean water and the protection of our water resources,’ explains Josef Klinger, Managing Director of TZW and member of the of the Board of Directors of the GWRC.
In its overview, the GWRC presents, among other things, successful preliminary work for wastewater monitoring and case studies as well as best practices from different countries that can serve as blueprints for other regions. In addition, GWRC is organising a series of webinars and workshops to further deepen the findings and promote exchange between researchers and other water supply stakeholders across borders, in particular, the webinar series on PFAS which highlights the global relevance of these chemicals.
